Parting Shots ...

Damn, no time to blog today but I've got some parting shots from Sydney. Was at a huge anti-Bush/anti-war rally the last Sunday I was in Oz, partly sponsored by NSW Peace and there was a way cool street theatre group there.

Puppet & Master
At the rally they had a "Best Hillbilly" contest hoasted by a Darlinghurst drag queen in full-on cowgirl getup, they talked about the merits of being a former-coke-addict-turned-president and scouted the crowd for "mentally deficient" people to execute ala America's death penalty.



Fruit Baaad
I got the title from this flaky German backpacker's bad English. "Vee saw da froot bad, de vere todally cool." This was in the Botanical Gardens where the little guano dispensers live along with oodles of flapping, flying, shrieking birds. When the bats stretch out and sail over the eastern part of the city at night in search of flower nectar and citrus fruit trees they're really an impressive sight.
